Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AppCompete, the website at appcompete.com and the web application (the “Service”), operated by Fayhe LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you're authorized to accept them for it, and “you” includes that company.

1. The Service

AppCompete is a browser-based App Store Optimization (ASO) tool. It lets you score keyword popularity and difficulty, track your apps' rankings over time, research the keywords your competitors rank for, monitor competitor apps with Competitor Watch, follow the top charts with Market Trends, and explore user reviews. You can optionally connect App Store Connect to see your own data.

The Service is in beta and under active development: features may be added, changed or removed as it evolves.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. You can sign in with your email address, with a Google account (through Firebase Authentication) or with a passkey. A verified email address is required.

An account is for one person. Don't share it, transfer it, or open several accounts to get around a plan's limits. You're responsible for keeping your credentials and the devices holding your passkeys secure, and for the activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, tell us right away at contact@appcompete.com.

To subscribe to a paid plan, you must be legally able to enter into a binding contract.

3. Plans and prices

  • Free: free of charge, no payment card required.
  • Pro: US$12 per month or US$99 per year. There is no free trial: you're charged when you subscribe.

The features and limits of each plan are described on our pricing page. If you subscribed to our earlier weekly plan, you keep it at its current price until you cancel it or switch to a monthly or yearly plan.

4. Payment, renewal and taxes

Pro is billed in advance for the period you choose (a month or a year) through our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length, until you cancel it, and the renewal price is charged to your payment method on file.

Depending on where you live, taxes such as VAT or sales tax may be added to the price.

If a renewal payment fails and isn't resolved, your account returns to the Free plan (see section 7 for what happens to your data).

We may change our prices. We'll email you reasonable notice before a new price applies to your subscription; it will only take effect from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the Stripe billing portal, opened with “Manage billing” on the Account & billing page of the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period: you keep Pro until then, and your account then returns to the Free plan.

We don't offer prorated refunds or credits for partial periods, except where the law requires it, including under the right of withdrawal in section 6.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)

If you're a consumer (an individual acting for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession) living in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from your Pro subscription within 14 days of the day you subscribe, without giving any reason.

Because Pro starts as soon as you pay, by subscribing you expressly ask us to begin providing the Service before the withdrawal period ends. If you then withdraw, we'll refund what you paid, minus an amount proportionate to the Service provided up to the moment you told us you were withdrawing. We'll make the refund within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the payment method you used to subscribe.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email to contact@appcompete.com before the 14 days have passed. You may, but don't have to, use this wording: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the AppCompete Pro subscription, taken out on (date), with the account (email address).”

7. Plan limits

Pro currently includes:

  • up to 20 competitor apps (apps from your connected App Store Connect account don't count);
  • up to 100 tracked keywords per app and per country;
  • Competitor Watch on up to 10 apps;
  • 3 AI review analyses per week.

We may change plan limits as the Service evolves, with reasonable notice by email or in the Service. If a change significantly reduces what your paid plan includes, you may cancel, and where the law requires it we'll refund the unused part of your current period.

Your data stays yours when Pro ends. A lapsed Pro account keeps everything it built: keywords beyond the Free plan's limits are paused, not deleted, keep their full history, and resume as soon as you're on Pro again.

8. App Store Connect

Connecting App Store Connect is optional. To do so, you provide an App Store Connect API key created in your Apple account. The key is encrypted in your browser before it leaves your device and can only be decrypted by an isolated service of ours, which uses it solely to fetch your own data from Apple, such as sales, proceeds and customer reviews. It is never stored in plaintext.

You must be authorized to use that key and the data it gives access to, and your use of Apple's API remains subject to Apple's terms. You can disconnect at any time: doing so deletes the stored key along with the sales snapshots and review data imported from App Store Connect. You can also revoke the key in App Store Connect.

9. Data, estimates and AI outputs

The Service is built on public App Store data and our own heuristics. Apple doesn't publish search volumes, so keyword popularity, difficulty and opportunity scores are estimates, not measurements. Rankings, charts, ratings, screenshots and other captured data reflect what public sources returned at the time, and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate.

Some features use AI models, such as review analyses and competitor verdicts. AI outputs are generated automatically and may be wrong or incomplete: check them before relying on them.

We don't guarantee any ranking, visibility, download or revenue outcome. The decisions you make with the Service are your own.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl or otherwise access the Service or its public endpoints (including search and app lookup) by automated means, other than through the MCP server and API we provide and as documented;
  • resell, rent, sublicense or share access to the Service, or offer it to others as a service of your own;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of the rights of others or of Apple's terms;
  • try to breach or probe the security of the Service, access other users' accounts or data, bypass authentication or plan limits, or disrupt or overload our infrastructure.

If you find a security issue, please report it to contact@appcompete.com rather than exploit it.

11. Your data

You keep all rights to the content and data you add to the Service, such as the apps and keywords you track and the data imported from your connected accounts. You allow us to host, process and display it only as needed to provide and improve the Service for you.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You can delete tracked apps, keywords and API keys at any time.

12. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, scores and the AppCompete name and logo, belongs to Fayhe LLC or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use it. You may use the reports and exports you generate for your own apps and business.

App names, icons, screenshots and reviews shown in the Service belong to their respective owners. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.

13. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including Apple (App Store data and App Store Connect), Stripe (payments), Google Firebase (sign-in) and Cloudflare (hosting). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for their availability or changes.

AppCompete is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Apple Inc. Apple, App Store and App Store Connect are trademarks of Apple Inc.

14. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and its data, email us; if you have an active subscription, cancel it first so you aren't charged again.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service, its users or third parties. Except in urgent cases or where the law prevents it, we'll tell you first and, where appropriate, give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account for any reason other than your breach, or discontinue the Service, we'll refund the prepaid fees for the unused part of your current period.

15. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, and we don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by contract, such as statutory guarantees of conformity.

16. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Fayhe LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, downloads, rankings, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited or excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, and they don't affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.

17. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms, for example when we add features, change plans or the law changes. For material changes to these Terms, we'll give you reasonable advance notice by email or on the site, and update the date at the top of this page. If you don't agree, you can cancel and stop using the Service before the changes take effect; continuing to use it afterwards means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Fayhe LLC's place of registration, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, this choice doesn't deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country where its law allows.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first: most issues can be settled quickly by email.

19. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is found invalid, the rest remains in force. Not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, provided your rights are not reduced.
